1971 Balers to hold 45th Class Reunion

The SBJUHS Class of 1971 will hold its 45th Class Reunion Weekend on Aug. 5-7. Several events are planned, including an informal get-together, a dinner-dance, a golf game and a Class of 1971 Scholarship fundraiser.

The San Benito Joint Union High School Class of 1971 has planned several events for its upcoming 45th class reunion on Aug. 5-7, 2016.

The class reunion will begin with an informal get together on Friday evening, August 5, in Hollister. Please see details at website—

The following evening, Aug. 6, will be the Reunion Dinner-Dance at the Ridgemark Golf and Country Club in Hollister. It will run from 5 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person and available until July 23. Interested parties can send a check, made out to Class of 1971 Reunion, to the Class of 1971 Reunion Committee, 73 Nevada St., Hollister, CA 95023.

Sunday, Aug. 7, will feature two events for the alumni's Class of 1971 Scholarship, to which the public is invited. The first event will be a round of golf at the Pinnacle Hills Golf Course in Tres Pinos, hosted by Rudy Bermudes, the fund's president. The cost is $25-$30, which includes the golf fee and cart rental. Check-in time wiil be 8:30 a.m. with tee-off at 9 a.m.

The annual Class of 1971 Scholarship Luncheon, Silent Auction and Raffle fundraiser, from noon to 4 p.m., will be held at the Pinnacle Hills Golf Course club house. Local chef Mike Fisher will cater the luncheon. Silent auction prizes include luxury condo lodging in Kauai, artisanal beaded necklaces, local restaurant gift certificates, gift baskets and more. Tickets are $25 per person and available at the door.
