The annual Downtown Parade is set for June 22 at 11 a.m.

Streets impacted by the parade are as follows: Monterey Street, San Benito Street, Haydon Street, Hawkins Street, Seventh Street, Sixth Street, and Fifth Street (including Briggs Alley).

The parade kicks off a week of festivities leading up to the 86th annual San Benito County Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo. Bonnie Mansmith, Miss San Benito Rodeo 2019, is set to make an appearance on horseback alongside approximately 70 other entries.

Parade organizers advise attendees to remain seated and not run out into the street, and for small children the motto is “Feet in the Gutter, Butts on the Curb.”

The 2019 San Benito County Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo will be held at Bolado Park in Tres Pinos on June 28-30. Several horseshow-related events will take place throughout the week.
