Antique stands and food booths will fill the streets of San Juan Bautista for the 54th annual Antique Fair, which comes to town Aug. 12.
For the past 10 years, the Rotary Club of San Juan Bautista has hosted the fair. This year will be Leslie Jordan’s first year as chair coordinator after four years of serving on the event’s planning committee.
“I’m super excited for my first year, though I am getting a little nervous,” said Jordan.
The fair will consist of collectibles of all kinds from various eras. Fairgoers can expect to find:
- Pre-1900 antique furniture
- Post-1900 vintage furniture
- Pre-1975 collectibles
- Pre-1975 vintage glass, china, pottery, linens, etc.
Along with the antiques, attendees can enjoy kettle corn and roasted potatoes as local bands and performers from Aromas and Hollister take the stage.
“This year is going to have a whole lot of musicians that are all buddies and jam together,” said Jordan.
Proceeds from the Antique Fair fund community grants, leadership and scholarship opportunities for local high school students, as well as local and international projects.
“I am very much looking forward to it, hoping our streets fill up with lots of people that just want to come see the town,” said Jordan.
