The Full Monty. Levy captured the two minute, awe inspiring experience of "Totality". Paul Levy Photo

After seeing our eclipse story, “Watching the Eclipse in the ‘Totality Zone,’” BenitoLink reader and Hollister resident, Paul Levy, sent in several stunning photos he took in Burns, Ore.

The quality of his photography was so beautiful, we had to share them with you.

“It was my granddaughter’s 21st birthday and this has been on her bucket list for years,” Levy said in an email about the adventure.

“I dragged the RV up with several family members and her girlfriends joining us camping at Burns, Oregon,” Levy wrote.

He explained that his granddaughter’s original target was Madras, Ore. but they could not find any space for the RV or hotel rooms.

Levy told BenitoLink, “We all drove up to John Day then east to about Prairie City where I took these photos. We expected the worst but surprisingly encountered no significant traffic.”  Afterwards they celebrated in Reno.

“Was it worth it you ask??? Priceless!” wrote Levy.

For those of you who are tech geeks or photography buffs: Paul shared the equipment he used to get these photos. “Canon 6D with my old 35-350 zoom and a doubler, i.e., 700mm. I also used an optical glass solar filter for shots other than the total eclipse and diamond ring”, Levy explained.

The BenitoLink team sends a special thanks to Levy for sharing such incredible photos with our community of readers.
