The Hollister Police Department sent a notice Jan. 11, 2018 and the department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a sexual assault suspect.

The news release states that in late 2017, a victim checked in to Hazel Hawkins Hospital and reported that they were sexually assaulted in downtown Hollister on an ""unknown date at an unknown time". Hollister Police detectives have been working through several months of City of Hollister surveillance camera footage from the downtown area. Detectives were able to isolate pertinent footage from the event and isolate the date and time of the incident as Oct. 27, 2017 at about 4:00 am.

The photographs in this article have been confirmed as the suspect in the case. The communication states that the suspect was described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 38 years old, and may be from Texas. The suspect was wearing a Golden State Warrior’s jersey and a “boonie” style military hat with a short crew-cut style haircut.

The Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the subject in the photos. Anyone with information regarding these Case #17-3017 investigations
