Update: Jun 13, 7:41 p.m. Cal Fire reports that the fire is 46 acres. It is 100% contained.

Cal Fire BEU’s Facebook page reports firefighters are at scene of a vegetation fire in South San Benito County, in the area of Airline Highway and Bitterwater Road. The fire is burning in grass and is currently estimated at 60 acres with a rapid rate of spread.

According to Watch Duty, the Airline Fire has the potential to burn 100 acres. Ground and aerial units have be deployed to fight the blaze. Fire retardent has been spread around most of the fire and it is holding at 60 acres.

The fire was first reported at 7:30 p.m., on June 12.

Law enforcement officials have been requested for evacuations.
