Assemblyman Luis A. Alejo is seeking nominations for the “Veteran of the Year” Award and invites his constituents to submit a nomination to honor a veteran in the area.

The award recognizes veterans who have demonstrated exemplary military service, community service and support for veterans in the community.

The nominee must be an active or retired veteran of one of the five Armed Forces of the United States, including Reserve or National Guard, or the United States Merchant Marines.

Nominated veterans must live within the 30th Assembly District in any of the following areas: San Benito County, Salinas Valley, North Monterey County, South Santa Clara or the City of Watsonville.
