An Evening of Christmas Music at Mission San Juan Bautista

For centuries now, the Old Mission of San Juan Bautista has been known as the Mission of Music. This holiday season, the local parish is happy to present a unique musical event that will help you find the Spirit of Christmas!

Heaven’s Light: an Evening of Christmas Music takes place Saturday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4422132. Seating is limited—Proceeds benefit the Old Mission Parish.

Mission San Juan Bautista will host mezzo soprano Laure de Marcellus, whose dark, velvety timbre and riveting stage presence delight audiences and critics wherever she performs, whether in opera roles, song recitals or sacred music. Marcellus was born in Geneva, Switzerland and studied in Israel, New York, and Munich. She sang at the Deutsche Opera in Germany and has also performed in places such as France, Switzerland, Austria, and Singapore. She currently resides in California and is delighted to be performing at the Mission with her longtime collaborator Alberto Urroz.
