Local nonprofits providing services to residents are benefiting from Anderson Homes’ “Giving Back Starts at Home” promotion this year. The program donates to several organizations, helping them continue to serve San Benito County in 2025.
According to the Anderson Homes website, the company donated $11,500 to nonprofits in Hollister, as well as $3,500 to nonprofits in Los Banos. BenitoLink received a $1,000 donation from the promotion.
BenitoLink Executive Director Leslie David said, “We are so fortunate to be one of the nonprofits to benefit from their program. I would like to thank Anderson Homes for their generous contribution in supporting free, local nonprofit news.”
Besides BenitoLink, the other Hollister nonprofits receiving funding are the Community Foundation of San Benito County, Youth Alliance, San Benito Arts Council and San Benito County Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The groups based in Los Banos are the Los Banos Volunteer Fire Department, Los Banos Police Activities League and Friends of the Los Banos Public Library.
Through “Giving Back Starts at Home,” Anderson Homes made $500 donations for each home sale closed in Hollister’s Santana Ranch neighborhood and Los Banos’ Westbrook neighborhood between Oct. 1 and Dec. 15, 2024. Anderson Homes, owned by the Anderson family, is a regional home building company actively involved in community nonprofit support.
In a statement posted on the Anderson Homes website, the family says it remains “committed to serving, raising awareness and inspiring everyone to be involved in their community.”
