The holiday season is starting, which means the annual “Chips for Kids” holiday toy drive has also begun. The toy drive is done in partnership with the Hollister-Gilroy California Highway Patrol (CHP) office and the Walgreens store in Hollister.

According to a recent press release, toy collection bins will be placed at the store located at 600 Tres Pinos Road in Hollister starting Monday, Nov. 26. The toy drive ends Monday, Dec. 17. Donations of new, unwrapped toys are expected to be delivered to Chamberlain’s Children Center in Hollister on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

There is an additional toy collection bin in the lobby of the Hollister-Gilroy Area CHP office located at 740 Renz Lane in Gilroy.
