
The Hollister Police Department has made an additional arrest in connection to the May 28, 2017 murder of 23-year-old Victor Barajas. On Aug. 2, detectives working this case received word from the San Diego Sheriff’s Office that Hollister resident Nikko Espinoza, 25, had been taken into custody and was being held at their jail.
The San Benito County District Attorney’s Office had issue a warrant for Espinoza shortly after the homicide took place. Espinoza was on the run for several weeks before being contacted by law enforcement officials in the San Diego area.
Hollister detectives were notified that Espinoza had been taken into custody and immediately responded to the San Diego County jail and picked him up.
Espinoza was booked for 187 PC – murder and is being held on $1 million bail at the San Benito County Jail.
