

The San Benito County Arts Council is now enrolling students in fall art classes at ARTspace, at 240 Fifth St. in downtown Hollister. Along with the return of some of their staple classes, including Youth Art Studio, Draw like Leonard and Paul’s Paint Party, the Arts Council is excited to launch a whole new series of art classes and workshops for youth and adults in a variety of different media. Some of the new classes include:
Teen Paint Party, with Paul Loughridge, First Fridays of the month for youth ages 12-18
Creating with Clay, with Stephanie Skow, a six-week workshop beginning in October for youth ages 8-12
Figure Drawing and Painting, with Georgesse Gomez, monthly workshop on the 2nd Saturdays of the month
Make Your Own Movie Trailer, with CMAP, a three-part art and technology workshop for youth beginning in November
Act Now!, with the San Benito Stage Company, a new four-week theater arts workshop for youth starting in October

All classes are taught by professional teaching artists and begin the first week of September, unless otherwise noted. There are FREE scholarship spots available for youth classes for qualifying students.
