The San Benito County Arts Council is enrolling students ages 8 and up in a new, four-session “Claymation” Workshop, beginning Jan. 21 at ARTspace, 240 Fifth St. in downtown Hollister.
The workshop, offered in partnership with the Community Media Access Partnership (CMAP), will take place from 3:30- 5 p.m. on Thursdays from Jan. 21 to Feb. 11 and will engage students in a dynamic, creative learning process at the nexus of art and technology. Participating students will learn about clay-making, stop-motion animation, narration, music and storytelling by creating their very own Claymation videos using iPad minis.
The workshops will be led by professional artist, Stephanie Skow, and video producer/editor, Ian Slattery, and cost $80/student which covers class registration and materials, including the use of iPad Minis for each student. Please contact the SBC Arts Council at 831.636.2787 or info@sanbenitoarts.org to register. You may also find more information online at www.sanbenitoarts.org.
This program is presented by the San Benito County Arts Council, in partnership with CMAP, as part of their Community Art Education Program and is made possible by the support of the California Arts Council, Community Foundation for San Benito County, United Way, Monterey Peninsula Foundation and City of Hollister.
