Attention artists: Open Studios applications now available

SBC Arts Council is now accepting applications for the 2015 Open Studios Art Tour.

The San Benito County Arts Council is now accepting applications from artists in all media for the annual Open Studios Art Tour, April 25-26. Artists based in San Benito County are encouraged to submit an online application at www.sanbenitoarts.org.

Prospective applicants may also download a hard copy of the application from the website or call 636-2787 for more information. All applications are due by 5 p.m., Feb. 13.

Open Studios is a weekend art tour, where artists throughout San Benito County open their studios to the public. The event draws hundreds of local and out-of-town visitors and is a great opportunity for artists to exhibit and sell their work, as well as for the public to meet the artists and learn about the processes of art-making. This year's tour will take place on the weekend April 25-26 will be preceded by a preview exhibition at ARTspace in downtown Hollister from April 3-May 28. The exhibition will be celebrated with a preview reception from 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 10, which invites artists, friends and the public in for a special sneak peak of Open Studios.
