B & R Farms Gives Back with Donation to Community Foundation for San Benito County

Donation to Community Foundation supports San Benito County nonprofits

B & R Farms takes giving back to their local community as seriously as they take growing and drying the best California Blenheim apricots in the Silicon Valley. Last month, as part of their ongoing dedication to serving and giving back to their community, B & R Farm’s owners, Jim and Mari Rossi, and their family made a pledge to donate 5 percent of all purchases made at their three holiday open houses during the month of December to support the Community Foundation for San Benito County. With their generous donation, B & R Farms is helping the Community Foundation to fund various local charities that provide much needed services throughout San Benito County.

It is Jim and Mari’s belief that we should all leave this world a better place than we found it, and their donation is just one of many ways that they support and invest in their community.  As owners of a small family business, they have been recognized for their compassion and their generosity. In 2012, Mari was honored as the Ag Woman Of The Year for her contributions to the local agricultural industry, and both she and Jim volunteer their time and services to the local community through organizations such as Ag in the Classroom, the San Benito Chamber of Commerce, the San Benito County Farm Bureau, and the Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital Foundation Board.

B & R Farms would like to thank their customers who helped make this donation possible by attending B & R’s Holiday Open Houses as well as everyone who shopped online. To donate or learn more about the efforts of the Community Foundation for San Benito County, please visit www.cffsbc.org
