June Primary Your Vote- Su Voto Forums

 

A public forum for candidates and discussion of issues related to the upcoming June Primary Election has been scheduled for Thursday, May 3. The “Your Vote-Su Voto” forum, hosted by BenitoLink, the San Benito County Farm Bureau and media partner CMAP-TV, will be held In the Hollister City Council chambers, 375 Fifth St., at 6:30 p.m.

​The forum will not be structured as a debate but rather a question-and-answer session with equal time limits for speakers. Members of the public are invited to provide questions via email or Facebook to BenitoLink in advance.

Races and topics include: Judge of Superior Court No.2, Supervisor District 3, Supervisor District 4, Sheriff – Coroner, Treasurer – Tax Collector, Assembly, State Senate, and Measures A, B, C.

BenitoLink, is a nonprofit online news platform that encourages community participation. BenitoLink and the San Benito County Farm Bureau will not be making any endorsements during the election season.

BenitoLink and the Farm Bureau thanks event sponsors: the Community Foundation for San Benito County, San Benito County Eyecare and Benito Valley Farm Inc. continues to seek local event sponsors.  Sponsor support will allow for broader promotion of the event, video coverage and editing by media partner CMAP-TV and more thorough election coverage. Videos will be published on BenitoLink and CMAP-TV and a social occasion is planned for the final forum. BenitoLink, the Farm Bureau and its sponsors look forward to hosting the Your Vote- Su Voto Primary Election Forum and together we welcome interested parties of all ages, social, political and economic groups.

BenitoLink and the Farm Bureau will also be hosting a public forum for the November General election on Oct. 10 & 11.
