The same group joined to host the Measure E community forum last year. The event is sponsored by Hazel Hawkins Hospital- San Benito Health Care District, San Benito County Business Council, BenitoLink, San Benito County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, Shelton-Insurance.com and Arthur G. Gallagher & Co.

The workshop topic was chosen by the collaborative due to the need for fact-based information resources on local health services, major changes in health care services and insurance, and the federal and state provisions of the Affordable Care Act that impact small businesses. Topics of discussion will include: small business tax credits, shared responsibility, cost containment and California’s health benefit exchange, Covered California. After attending this session, attendees will have a working knowledge about the healthcare law and what it means for themselves, their families and businesses in the coming months, as well as resources to learn more.
