Can you believe rain is the big topic in South County this week?  I sure hope I’m not jinxing it by writing about it, but, weather forecasters are expecting anywhere from 2-5 inches this week!  Hallelujah!  It’s about time, all that praying for rain may actually help some of us after all.  Lets keep our fingers crossed that it actually happens.

Congratulations goes out to our favorite bull rider Brendon Clark and his wife Allison on the birth of their first baby on February 12th.  Cayson Cree, a little boy, came into the world weighing 6lbs, 9 oz. at Hazel Hawkins Hospital in Hollister,  He is absolutely adorable and mom, dad and baby are doing well.

Tracie and Mike Eggleston also welcomed a new baby into their home last week.  Greyson was born on February 19th at Mee Memorial Hospital in King City.  Greyson joins 4 older sisters and one older brother at home.  Ironically, Greyson shares the same birthday as his older brother Tel, only 16 years later!  Congratulations Tracie and Mike!

Welcome home to Donna Hansen who spent over a week at Stanford Hospital after a heart procedure.  Donna came home over the weekend and I’m sure she’s glad to finally be home.

Birthday wishes go out to Heidi Hurley who celebrated a birthday last Wednesday, Becca Garza who celebrated on the 21st and Sarah Schmidt who celebrated on the 22nd.
Emily and Sarah Brewen have been busy showing their cattle at many jackpots lately.  They each did really well with their steers and heifers at the Western Bonanza hosted by Cal Poly, SLO in Paso Robles a few weeks ago.  The girls take after their mom Candace as they really enjoy showing cattle.

Have a great week everyone, and be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at wendymsans@aol.com with any news you’d like to share.
