Oh what a beautiful day in the neighborhood we had last week!  The rain poured down on us in Bitterwater last week just in the nick of time.  We had an inch and a quarter at our place in the span of 4 days.  It was a glorious week, now, if we can just get a few more showers throughout April, this year may not be as bad as it was looking like after all.  It is supposed to be extremely warm this week though, so we will definetely need some more showers before too long.

Alex, Stacy and Tristan Schmidt just returned home from a week long trip to Virginia and Washington D.C.  Alex's sister is in the Navy and was promoted to another rank so they flew out there to watch the ceremonies and do a little sight seeing as well.  Not only was it a fun trip for all, but also educational for Tristan as well.

We spent last weekend at another high school rodeo, this one at the Posse Grounds in Salinas.  Participating from our area included Caleb Johnson, Taylor Hurley, Brody Sans, Cash Robinson, Warren Enz, Will Centoni, Clint an Blake Fuentes, Wyatt Naccarato, Blair Brown, Madison Hawkes, Lacey Bourdet and Hailey Stellilng, just to name a few.  The kids have only one high school rodeo left before State Finals.  Their last rodeo of the year will be April l 26th at Bolado Park in Hollister.  Year end races for all events are really tight so it will be an exciting finish to a great year.  Wacey Barrington and Cheyenne Rey participated in the district 7 high school rodeo down in Santa Ynez last weekend as well.

Emily Brewen and Kiana Almagaur will be two of many who will be representing King City High School at the State FFA convention in Fresno this weekend.  The the girls are really excited to go so I'm sure they'll have a great time.

Have a great week and be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at wendymsans@aol.com with any news you'd like to share.
