Well, here we go again, back to asking “When’s it going to rain again?”.  We sure had a nice “week” of rain this year, let’s hope we get a few more showers in before we call it quits.  It supposed to really warm up this week so a nice little shot of rain sure would be nice!

A big congratulations goes out to Mattie Barrington and Cody Grady on the birth of their first baby, a beautiful baby boy whom they named Brushton James.  Bruston was born on March 6th at 1:41 PM.  He weighed 7 lbs, 9 oz. and was 19″ long.  He is such a beautiful baby and he has a lot of black hair.  I’ve been in to see him a few times and he just keeps getting cuter and cuter each time I see him!    Proud grandparents are Andy and Tamra Barringoton (can you believe they’re grandparents??!!) and Mark Tidwell and Deborah Grady.  Great grandparents are Meridith and Andy Anderson and Tim Lockwood, Jim and Betty Barrington and Jim and Rebekah Grady..  Great great granmda is Jo Ann Lockwood.  Congratulations to all!  This week, Mattie is looking forward to getting back to coaching her Bitterwater Badger basketball team while I get to babysit the cute little guy during the game!  Guess when you young and energetic, it’s pretty easy to get back to your regular routine after just having a baby!

More congratulations goes out to Bitterwater alumi Kiana Almagour for trying out for the State FFA choir and making the cut!  Her and fellow FFA member Tahnee Bray will be representing King City High School FFA at the state FFA convention in Fresno later this month.  Tahnee has participated several years in the choir but this will be Kiana’s first year.  Congratulations girls!

Get well wishes continue to go out to Heidi Hurley who spent all last week in the hospital trying battling an pneumonia.  We are hoping she will be home before this column in published this week.

Taylor Hurley, Caleb Johnson and Wacey Barrington spent last weekend in Clovis at a multi district high school rodeo.  It wasn’t the weekend any of them had hoped for but they have another one coming up in a few weeks in Salinas.

I’m anxiously counting the days until next week as Sierra wll be coming home for spring break!  She gets home on Monday the 17th and will be here until the end of March.
Good luck this week to the Bitterwater Badgers who will be participating in a basketball game at San Ardo School on Friday.  High school basketball may be over but the Badgers have several more games to go.

Have a great week, enjoy the warm weather but start keeping an eye out for rattlesnakes, and give me a call or e-mail me with any news you’d like to share.
