A man was found dead on the 20000 block of Panoche Road on Aug. 30, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Detective Bryan Penny with the San Benito County Sheriff’s office said investigators have not identified the man, but determined that he was not injured or struck by a vehicle. Penny added no foul play is suspected at this time.

He said deputies were notified of the body at 10:15 a.m. and transported the deceased to the Santa Clara County medical examiners office with a request to provide identification via finger print records.

“We hope to obtain identification soon so we can locate the family and notify them of his passing,” he said.

Penny said investigators believe the man is between 20 and 30 years old and of Asian descent.

He said the sheriff’s office reached out to neighboring law enforcement agencies trying to identify him, but that there has been no confirmation of a missing person matching the man’s description.
