 CalTrans released information that traffic will be disrupted between Hollister and San Juan Bautista over the next couple of weeks, starting Thursday, Oct. 12. A Caltrans news release stated, “A project to resurface State Route 156 between Lucy Brown Lane and Bixby Lane in the Hollister area will continue on Thursday, Oct. 12.  Motorists can expect one way reversing traffic control from 9 am until 1:30 pm.”

 

There is also notification regarding the following week. “Motorists will also encounter one-way reversing traffic control on Tuesday, Oct. 17 through Thursday, Oct. 19 on State Route 156 between San Juan Bautista and Hollister (Mission Vineyard Road to Union Road) from 9 am until 1 pm,” the 

 

Caltrans explained, “Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 30 minutes.  The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be present to ensure a safe environment for everyone.  This roadwork is necessary to improve the surface of the roadway while weather conditions are favorable before the next winter storm season.”

 

This roadwork is being performed by the Caltrans Hollister Maintenance Crew and Caltrans reminded motorists “to move over, slow down shen driving through highway work zones.
