The Central Hills Conservative Republicans of California, a new political group in the area, hosted a gathering of like-minded residents for a “meet and greet” with Assemblyman Tim Donnelly of the 33rd District in Hollister who is campaigning to be Governor of California.

Present Governor Jerry Brown recently signed into law, AB 1266, authored by Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, which will require “that a student be permitted to participate in sex-segregated school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions, and use restrooms consistent with his or her “gender identity”, irrespective of the gender listed on the pupil’s records.”
Donnelly has said, “If the previous assaults on family and traditional values, perpetuated by our legislature on public schools, was not reason enough to pull your kids out, the violation of your child’s privacy under AB 1266 might be. This could result in a whole new exodus of students to private or home schooling, hurting public school funding.”

They believe that members should:
- Be a responsible conservative voice for the fiscal & social betterment of our Community, California & the Nation at large.
- Sponsor public forums which provide for the expression of conservative political points of view.
- Review the performance of our elected leaders and ensure the adherence to conservative Republican principles.
- Seek out and encourage qualified conservative Republican candidates to run for public office.
- Guide and assist conservative Republican candidates in their campaigns for local, state, and national offices.

Sandy Lampe, the President of the group said, “It was exciting and rewarding to launch our new chapter with the Meet and Greet Tim Donnelly for Governor of California 2014. We are planning many more events throughout the coming year. We welcome you to attend and invite others to join us. Our next scheduled event will be a fundraising benefit for Tim Donnelly Oct.15th. The location will be determined at our next organizational meeting. Craig Constantine is our Vice-President.”
