The Career Center at San Benito High School help students in multiple ways such as applying for scholarships, learning about colleges through a College of the Week, offering information about the military for those who are interested, and many other ways, providing students pathways to their future.

The Career Center helps students discover options for what they can do before and after they graduate. “They give you information on colleges that the Internet does not cover,” senior Cheyenne Kistner said.

The center does more than give information on colleges and career pathways. “They gave me my college transcript,” said senior Jake Livingston.

“They helped me fill out my college application,” said senior Erin Hepner.

Jay Ehret, who has led the Career Center for since Oct. 2012, called the center a “resource” for the students.

“I have had multiple students come in near the end of their senior year or after graduation and say that thanks to me and the Cal SOAP staff that works in the Career Center,” Ehret said. “I have run into students who have come home from college and they have thanked me for helping them get into the school that they now call home and love,” he said.
