More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.

“This year the Chamber wanted to become involved in Small Business Week," said Juli Vieira, President/CEO of the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce. "We want our local small businesses to succeed and thrive so the Chamber decided to spearhead a movement to shop local and shop small business during National Small Business Week, and make if fun for everyone — like a treasure hunt."

The Chamber of Commerce is celebrating by holding special opportunity drawings with chances to win gift certificates to local businesses.  All you have to do is support small business in our county by shopping local.

Each time you shop or eat at one of our participating business members, Bella Charm, The GardenMart, Pumped Up Fitness, San Benito Bene, Bertuccio’s Market, Dona Esther Restaurant, Postal Graphics, Johnny’s Bar & Grill, Irma’s Fashions and Creative Design & Consulting you can enter the drawing.

The more you support local shops and restaurants May 1-7, the more chances you have to enter and win. Look for the sign in the window of participating chamber businesses. The prize winners will be announced on our Facebook page San-Benito County-Chamber and in the May issue of the chamber newsletter.
