Chamberlain’s Children Center presents Stand Up for Kids Comedy Night

Proceeds from the event will go towards raising community awareness and to supplement the program’s needs.

Chamberlain's Children Center (CCC) will be hosting a dinner and live comedy show fundraiser benefiting the children at Chamberlain's on Saturday, April 7.

The event will be held at Leal Vineyard Barrel Room located at 300 Maranatha Drive in Hollister and will run from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Bay Area professional comedian Michael Mancini will be headlining the event and will be followed by a raffle and live auction.  

Mancini, also known as the world's funniest cop, is a regular favorite at various venues across the country. He has a background in law enforcement and a career in comedy that spans over three decades.  

"As of right now, we have sold over 200 tickets so a very nice show of support from our community," said Fund Development and Donor Engagement Manager Denise Cauthen-Wright. 

Chamberlain's is a Level 12 group home that provides a safe environment for at risk foster youth, ages 6-17 years, who have experienced abuse and neglect during their young lives. Chamberlain’s provides a loving home, support, nutritious food, wellness activities, case management, therapy and more for each child.  

"Chamberlain’s serves high risk foster youth who, among many other services, benefit from wellness and development programs which are not supported by government funding," said executive director Patrick Ellis. "Stand Up For Kids" highlights Chamberlain’s focus on healing trauma through expression and positive relationships while raising community awareness and unrestricted funds to supplement the program’s needs." 

Tickets to the event are $75 per person and includes appetizers, buffet dinner, dessert, coffee, tea, and soda. The event is for guests 21 or older. Guests are encouraged to dress to impress, no collared shirts or ball caps. Tickets are non-refundable.
