Joe Paul’s election marks a significant Latino milestone as he takes the helm in the position as President of CSACA. Joe Paul is a testament to the Latino commitment to our nation and its values. Joe Paul understands education is the key to opening doors and opportunity. He is a valued supporter of our student LULAC Scholarship fund, currently serving as the chair of our scholarship committee.

Joe Paul’s commitment to LULAC’s mission and values has been evident throughout his career. He is now poised to bring his leadership skills to the forefront as President of CSACA. Joe Paul will work closely with California State Controller, Malia M. Cohen, to recommend legislative changes in statewide county auditing practices.

“Education is the key to unlock the doors of opportunity and empowerment in our Latino community. It is the way to break the cycle of poverty, to challenge systemic barriers, and to create a brighter future for ourselves and for our children,” Joe Paul said.

However, this is not Joe Paul’s first historic achievement! In 1986 Joe Paul was elected the then youngest Mayor of the City of Hollister. This was followed by another City of Hollister historic first with both Joe Paul and his brother, Fernando, having served as City Council members. The next historic moment came when Joe Paul  was elected as the first Latino San Benito County Auditor-Controller-Recorder-Registrar. LULAC Council 2890 is proud to have Joe Paul as a long-time committed member with over 31 years of experience. Joe Paul holds the esteem title of the longest serving member of LULAC Council 2890. LULAC has bragging rights and we are extremely proud of Joe Paul and his accomplishments!

The League of United Latin American Citizens is proud to have Joe Paul in our familia. His election is a significant milestone for both the Latino community and San Benito County. We are confident that Joe Paul will have a positive impact in leading the California State Association of County Auditors. His leadership will undoubtedly contribute significantly to the advancement of statewide auditor controller practices across California and will serve as an inspiration to young Latino professionals who are eager to make a difference in our community. ¡Sigue haciéndonos orgullosos! (Continue to make us proud!)
