In 2015, Benito Link and CMAP should pursue a nonprofit partnership to become the predominant communication tool for San Benito County. On their own, each media outlet provides a certain level of service to the community. But neither organization is exactly a multimedia household word or content provider of news, information, music, sports, entertainment or advertisement potential for local business.
Together, though, Benito Link and CMAP would be a mutimedia match made in heaven; for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health each organization should take vows to honor each other and develop a multimedia matrimony and become San Benito County’s news and information outlet.
So here’s a challenge: Why don’t you guys hook up?
There are other nonprofit organizations that deserve a similar challenge. With more than 140 non-profit organizations in San Benito County, each providing some level of service to a sector of the community, how many partnerships and community members would benefit from collaboration and synergies? I believe most.
2015 should be a year of better social communication and improved strategic alliances among nonprofits in order to strengthen our community as a whole.Â
The cornerstone of community outreach should start with advanced, 21st Century communication tools and technology that streams news and information to every cell phone, tablet, desktop computer, TV and radio in San Benito County. At least, there is great potential to make progress toward that goal; if only you guys could hook up.
While I have no skills as a matchmaker, I will attempt to move things forward in the only way I know: Hey Benito Link, I heard CMAP likes you and thinks you’re cute but is too shy to ask you on a date…
Let’s see what happens.Â
