Words cannot express the gratitude in our hearts for all the love and support we have received. Every visit, post, email, text message has brought so much comfort during this incredibly difficult time.
The outpouring of support for our family has deeply affected us, and we can't thank you enough. As so many of you have written, to know Geno was to know a man full of love, kindness and unbiased morals. His energy was so infectious that one encounter with him, you were left as if you had known him forever.
Perhaps the hardest part of his loss is all the broken hearts of the kids he has affected. He loved the innocence and energy that young children have, perhaps because he understood it so well. Peter Pan – that’s what I called him. He saw the potential in every kid that they sometimes couldn't even see it themselves.
Geno was our North Star. And although that star has been put out, our hope is that his light will forever shine on in the hearts of those who knew him.
