As I looked over Measure P, it just doesn’t seem right. I feel we should vote no on Measure P. I talked with Anthony Botelho of the board of supervisors, he said there would be a meeting about Measure P, but he never gave me the info on where it would be. I would have liked to attend so I could have got a better perspective on where they are coming from. But, to me I feel it is just another tax scam.
They want to generate tax revenue from the people’s pockets by all means necessary. We are supposed to be helping the people not continue to take from the people. As I said before, I was told Highway 25 is owned the state of California (Caltrans). All highways. I always see the people being pressured and manipulated by many different scare tactics by the local government. I know nobody is going to like this letter; that’s OK. I just want the people to be aware and do research, do your homework before voting on something like this. This is money coming from your pockets. If I could sit here and say for sure it would be used for the roads then I wouldn’t have a problem with it. But, we can’t prove that. Because it hasn’t been done in the past. The local government needs to be open and honest with the people.Â
I also wanted to point to the people’s attention; our council is dysfunctional, now they are turning on each other. Mr. (Raymond) Friend turned the mayor into the FPPC and Mrs. (Mickie) Luna as a witness. Mr. (Victor) Gomez is no longer with Santa Clara County District 10, but yet he still claims to be a part of that council. That is not true. I just want people to know that we need to look into things, be alert. It’s sad that we cannot trust our own local government.Â
I will always fight for the people, and I will always be honest and loyal to the people. So when you go to the polls, remember what you are voting for. Remember that all these tax hikes are coming out of your pocket. Check out my page on Facebook keithsnowformayor2016 and keep emailing me at keithsnow@ymail.com.Â
