A panel of local community leaders will field questions and provide insight into the subjects of education, employment, homelessness, housing, job training, poverty, seniors, youth and more at an upcoming leadership luncheon on Sept. 12. The free event is hosted by the San Benito County Community Action Board and will be held from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ cultural hall at 1670 Cienega Road in Hollister.
The panel consists of San Benito County Supervisor Anthony Botelho, San Benito High School Principal Adrian Ramirez, San Benito County Sheriff-Coroner Darren Thompson, Hollister Mayor Ignacio Velazquez and County Administrative Officer Ray Espinosa. It will be moderated by Hal Hendrickson.
The San Benito County Community Action Board’s mission is to assist our vulnerable populations with resources to obtain skills knowledge and opportunities toward self-sufficiency. The goal of the community action agency is to make the entire community more responsive to the needs and interests of the poor and low-income populations by mobilizing resources and facilitating in providing effective services and community action plans.
