Hollister Future Farmers of America (FFA) will host the annual Community Farm Day in the San Benito High School ag barn on Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
SBHS agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor Kelly Bianchi said the event began three years ago "as a community service project to educate the community and youth about agriculture and to have fun at the same."
Activities will include carnival games, presentation of agriculture facts, a petting zoo and a vegetable planting station, along with a free lunch provided by the Hollister Ag Boosters.
"For the past two years we have teamed up with San Benito County SELPA and Community Advisory Committee to incorporate their Special Needs Resource Round-Up with the Hollister FFA Community Farm Day," Bianchi noted. "This is a free event for the entire family."
The ag barn can be accessed through the gate just past the football field on San Benito Street.
