The Community Foundation for San Benito County is pleased and proud to announce Grant Awards!
Â
Over the course of the 2012 grant cycle, forty-six applications were received, requesting a combined total of $782,622. The applications were ranked using pre-established criteria, such as expected community impact. The Grants Committee then made the difficult decisions necessary to fit the recommendations into its budget. The Grants Committee is made up of a knowledgeable and diverse group of community volunteers as well as Foundation board members and staff to assure proper and fair evaluation of all grant requests.
Â
During 2012, thirty-eight awards were recommended to and approved by the Community Foundation Board, totaling $374,427. A final handful of 2012 applications are pending review and approval in January 2013.
