Tonight, Friday, October 4, 2013, my wife and I were able to come home and watch on our big screen, archived online, the San Benito County Board of Supervisors meeting, including the controversial CAO qualification discussion from just 3 days ago, i.e., Tuesday, October 1!!!! Wow!! 21st century technology has finally reached San Benito County!
I know this is generally not considered exciting stuff, but in the past, when I looked for any video stream like this, I could not find it, or at best, it was 3-4 weeks behind and very stale. Tonight, however, with a glass of good red wine and relaxing in my recliner at home, this meeting, even with the controversial agenda material, was much more tolerable (well, given the content and BoS decision. not really tolerable)!!! But it was CURRENT and still HOT! I will check out Hollister City Council meetings soon.
I know 2013 has been a major challenge for CMAP in relocating its home base and studio to Christopher High School in north Gilroy. But for me, having access to current SBC BoS Meeting video on a timely basis is a huge step forward!
Congratulations to Kathy and the crew! Keep up the good work!
