The San Benito County Fair kicked off a day earlier than normal with an opening on Thursday this year, as shown in these photos by BenitoLink photographer Lisa Robinson-Ward. The four-day event continues through Sunday, Oct. 4 with food, entertainment, displays and events highlighting the agricultural history of San Benito.

Here is the fair schedule:

Friday, Oct. 2
10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Seniors’ Day – Seniors (60 and over) $1 off admission all day
Sand Drags 7 p.m. (tickets available at the gate)

Saturday, Oct. 3
10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Mission Ranches Military Appreciation Day – Free admission with military I.D.
Junior Livestock Auction – 10 a.m.
Truck Pulls – 4 p.m. (tickets available at the gate)

Sunday, Oct. 4
10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Community Appreciation Day
Ag/Hort Produce Auction – 4 p.m.

Carnival Schedule
Friday: Noon-10 p.m.
Saturday: Noon-10 p.m.
Sunday: Noon-7 p.m.
