County has drop off location for second installment tax payments

Property Taxes are due April 10 and there are several ways payments can be made.

San Benito County is notifying residents that the second installment of property taxes are due April 10, 2019.

This year, San Benito County is offering four ways citizens can pay their taxes:

  1. Online – E-checks or Credit Cards – convenience fees apply. Please visit the county website for further information.
  2. Mail – postmarks apply! Know your postal service’s postmark policies and make sure your mail is dated April 10 or earlier.
  3. In-Person – at the County Treasurer-Tax Collector Office at 440 Fifth Street, Room 107 in Hollister.
  4. ***NEW*** Drive Thru and Drop Off –  On 04/10/2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a tax station will be located in the alley between the county offices at 440 Fifth Street, Room 107 (the old courthouse) and the San Benito County Office of Education/Free Library building in which you can drive through and drop off your tax payment. This will save citizens time hunting for a parking space and waiting in line at our office. The county will NOT accept CASH payments in the Drive Thru station. Receipts will be available upon request.

Please call the tax office with any questions or concerns at (831) 636-4034 or email [email protected]
