Sacred Heart Parish School sixth-grader Jacques Morin and eighth-grader Delilah De La Cerda of Rancho San Justo School won the annual San Benito County Spelling Bee held recently at Ladd Lane School.

Morin was the elementary division winner, while De La Cerda won the junior high contest.

The other elementary finalists, in order of finish, were:

2.       Carmela Clark, sixth grade, Spring Grove

3.       Athena Vasquez, sixth grade, Tres Pinos

4.       James Breen, fifth grade, Sacred Heart

The other junior high finalists were:

2.       Eduardo Padilla, seventh grade, Spring Grove

3.       Chase Freeman, seventh grade, Southside

4.       Andrew Tobias, eighth grade, Tres Pinos
