Pinnacles National park is seeking up to six enthusiastic local rangers (age 18-25) to join the team and make a difference in Pinnacles’ stewardship.
Join the Ranger Corps as a part-time local intern on weekends and holidays (up to eight hours per day) for this winter/spring. Learn about the ecology, geology, cultural history, flora and fauna of our area. Help visitors have a safe and enjoyable visit to the park. Work alongside National Park Service professionals and experience the various jobs required to manage a National Park.
In addition to the age requirements, Ranger Corps members must pass a background check. Benefits include a weekly stipend of $144 and an AmeriCorps educational award of $1,175 after completion of a minimum of 300 hours of service. The program runs from Nov. 21 through June 30, 2016.
