National Philanthropy Day dinner to honor nominees is to be held Thursday, November 14, 2013 at San Juan Oaks Golf Club, from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Nominations are due Oct 11.

National Philanthropy Day is the special day set aside to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy, and those people active in the philanthropic community, have made to our lives, our communities, and our world.

What makes philanthropy so special is that no one is required to give of themselves.  There are no national laws or regulations which mandate that you must volunteer or get involved.  Philanthropy is so powerful and inspiring precisely because it is voluntary – that through the goodness of our hearts, through our need to connect, through our desire to see a better world, we come together to improve the quality of life for all people.

 

Each year, the Community Foundation for San Benito County is proud to sponsor an event in celebration of National Philanthropy Day.  Approximately 45 local community volunteers are honored with an event, complete with introductions of the honorees and Proclamations by representatives from San Benito County and the City of Hollister.
We would like to include your organization at this celebration of community spirit to recognize and commemorate National Philanthropy Day.  This is our chance to step into the spotlight for a brief moment and remind our communities, our society, and the world that the spirit of giving is alive and well!

 

 
This year's celebratory event is a Dinner scheduled for Thursday, November 14, 2013 at San Juan Oaks Golf Club, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.  The cost per person for attendance is $40 and seating is limited to 8 guests, including honoree, per organization.  Reservations are not confirmed until payment is received.  All payments must be made through the U.S. Postal Service or dropped by our office.

 

Nominations and photographs should be submitted electronically through our website.  If you experience technical difficulties submitting the nominations/photographs, you may email them directly to Jamie Frusetta, Communications Coordinator at jfrusetta@cffsbc.org

Nominations, reservations, and payment must be received no later than Friday, October 11, 2013 to ensure recognition in the program and have a printed certificate.
