Discounted tickets to the annual San Benito County Fair at Bolado Park this week are available through Wednesday, Sept. 30 at the fair office or at Ranchers Feed in Hollister. Starting Thursday, full-price tickets will be available at the fair gate.
A pre-sale Family Fun Pack costs $25 and admits two adults, two children and provides one-day parking. The package is a $36 value.
Pre-sale carnival passes, at $18, offer a single-day unlimited ride wristband good for one person or a book of 30-ride tickets that can be shared. The pass can be exchanged at the carnival ticket booth on any day of the fair — which runs Thursday through Sunday — for either the wristband or the ticket book. Carnival passes are available at Ace Hardware, the fair office, Postal Graphics and Ranchers Feed.
Pre-sale tickets will only be available until the close of business on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
General daily admission to the fair is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors (60 and over), $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Parking costs $5.
On Thursday, which is Kid's Day at the fair, children 12 and under get in free all day. On Friday, Senior Day, those age 60 and over can gain admission for $6. Saturday is Military Appreciation Day, when free admission is offered to those with military I.D.
Sunday, the final day of the fair, is Community Appreciation Day.
