Here is a recap of various local election results:
– Incumbent Hollister Mayor Ignacio Velasquez was was re-elected over challenger Keith Snow 66 percent to 33 percent.
– In other closely-watched ballot items, Measure M, which would raise $28.5 million for Hollister School District facility upgrades, garnered 62 percent of the vote (it needed 55 percent to pass), while Measures I and L — transient occupancy tax measures in San Benito County and the city of Hollister, respectively — each went down to double-digit defeats.
– In the Hollister City Council District 2 race, Victoria Montoya and Micki Solorio Luna were locked in what county elections chief Joe Paul Gonzalez called “a cliffhanger,” with Luna taking a 23-vote lead late in the evening after Montoya had lead most of the night. By the last report early Wednesday morning, Luna had a 51-48 lead.
– The San Benito High School Board of Trustees race, which had three open spots, had  retired teacher Juan Robledo leading at 24.38 percent, incumbent Bill Tiffany in second at 24.20 percent, and incumbent and retired SBHS administrator Steve Delay at 17.28 percent. Incumbent Mary Encinias finished out of the running at 14 percent.
– For two Hollister seats on the Gavilan College Board of Trustees, incumbent Kent Child and challenger Lois Locci each had 35 percent of the vote while Elizabeth Dirks tallied 29 percent.
– In the San Juan Bautista City Council race, challengers Jim West (24 percent) and Chris Martorana (23 percent) were just ahead of incumbent Tony Boch, who had 22 percent for three seats on the council.
