12 Days of Giving provides another child something to smile about on Christmas morning.

The 2017 12 Days of Giving campaign begins December 1st and concludes midnight Tuesday December 12th 2017.  Emmaus House is blessed to be one of the essential service non-profit organizations chosen as a ‘matching funds’ recipient. Additional essential service organizations supported through the 12 Days campaign include CASA of San Benito County, Chamberlain’s Children Center and Community Food Bank of San Benito  County.

Are you aware that in the United States there are more shelters to serve animals than humans in need.  Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten. In the US an average of 20 people are physically abused by intimate partners every minute.  On a typical day, domestic violence hotlines nationwide receive approximately 21,300 calls. Emmaus House is San Benito County’s temporary emergency shelter for women and their children seeking refuse from abuse.  Since opening in October 2006 we have housed 1600 women and children. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Your contributions help to give our sheltered families the much needed daily necessities. However in addition to that,  imagine being displaced from your home and wondering where you are going to get your children a holiday gift and holiday dinner?  The 12 Days of Giving annual campaign is that answer.  Your contributions give a Mom and her children, celebration, comfort, smiles, and a sense of normalcy.

Your monetary donations have a wonderful opportunity to be matched! This is do to our very generous partner and local sponsors.

Matching funds for the 12 Days of Giving are made possible by our partner United Way of San Benito County.  Campaign sponsors include: Tiffany Ford Motor Company, Brent Redmond Transportation,  Central Ag Supply, Community Foundation for San Benito County, Intero Foundation, Pierce Real Estate, Recology South County, RJR Environmental, Rotary Club of  Hollister, Teknova, True Leaf Farms, Women’s Club of Hollister, and additional funds provided by City of Hollister Employees, Corbin and Heritage Bank of Commerce.

Every contribution has great impact.  Donations may be designated to one or more specific campaign agency, or to be shared across all four.  A Big thank you to BenitoLink and CMAP for their in-kind media support.

Funds can be mailed, delivered to Emmaus House office,  dropped off at the Shelter or Community Foundation building.  Please note 12 Days in the memo field to count for the matching funds campaign!
