Inaugural Garden Tour
June 27 9 a.m. to noon
A FREE drive or bike yourself tour showcasing gardening and environmentally friendly yards and garden practices
About the tour:
- Participants will be able to travel to different sites in Hollister. Water Wise Demo from 9-10 a.m. with Shawn Novak, water conservation program manager.
- Meet Mary Paxton, UC Master Gardener & Anita Kane, Landscape Architect.
- See different types of native, edible and drought resistant gardens.
- Learn techniques to apply to your own yard.
- Observe what other local residents are doing to protect natural resources and for water conservation.
- Learn about pollinator plants for hummingbirds and bees.
Bring a sketch of your yard to M&M Garden Mart for help with a planting plan. Tour participants will receive a 20 percent discount on landscape plants. (one- and two-gallon containers).
