Horse Show and Rodeo enthusiasts will enjoy varied events happening at Bolado Park Event Center when the 33rd District Agricultural Association kicks-off the 93rd offering of the San Benito County Fair this weekend. During Fair Horse Show Weekend, all of the action happens in the LA Hearne Grandstand Arena beginning Friday, Sept. 23 with the Cutting event at 6 p.m. Next up is the Stock Horse event at 6 p.m.

All events are dedicated to the memory of Junior Rodeo Chair Jaynie Little, who passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 17.

The fun continues through the weekend with youth participating in both the Junior Rodeo and Pee Wee Rodeo Saturday morning at 8 a.m. Jackpot roping takes place that evening at 5 p.m.

On Sunday, events begin at 9 a.m. with the popular Ranch Rodeo and Dummy Steer Roping. The Open Horse Show gets underway at 10 a.m. to make for a busy day in the arenas. The evening of Monday, Sept. 26 concludes the Horse Show events with youth participating in the 4-H and FFA Light Horse Show at 5 p.m.

San Benito County Fair Horse Show events invite the public to attend with no admission cost. Food and beverage vendors will be available in the nearby Fair Food Court.
