Final statewide primary election results certified

The results are expected to be presented for adoption at the July 24 San Benito County Board of Supervisors meeting.

Final results for the June 5, 2018 Statewide Direct Primary Election is now certified and is expected to be presented to the San Benito County Board of Supervisors for adoption on July 24. Official results have been posted at www.sbcvote.us. Please note there are two different versions that the public can view online:

Out of the 28,774 registered voters, 12,587 ballots were cast indicating a total of 43.74 percent voter participation, according to a recent press release. In comparison to the 2014 Statewide Direct Primary, voter participation increased by 11.81 percent.

San Benito County had 17 Polling Place locations with over 120 volunteers. San Benito County Clerk-Auditor-Recorder Joe Paul Gonzalez thanks the dedicated volunteers that helped throughout the years and would also like to thank the approximate 20 percent of new volunteers who have now become part of the successful service to the community. The elections office continues to accept volunteers for the upcoming November Election.
