Update: June 13 at 7:59 p.m. Fire is burning 592 acres. It is 100% contained. Per Cal Fire one ranch was initially thought to be in danger, prompting an evacuation warning. No evacuations were necessary.

A 100-acre fire is burning near Panoche Valley Solar Farm, 40 miles southeast of Hollister.

According to Watch Duty, the Little Fire, as it has been named, on Little Panoche Road has the potential to burn 200 acres.

The fire was first reported at 1:51 p.m., on June 11.

Law enforcement officials have been requested for evacuations.

CalFire BEU’s Facebook page reports that firefighters are on scene of the vegetation fire that is burning at a moderate rate of spread. Resources are actively engaged in containment efforts.

Nine engines, one helicopter and one hand crew are responding. There is 30% containment and the cause of the ignition is under investigation.
