San Benito County Public Works will close down Frazier Lake Road overnight from Aug. 11-13 to conduct re-paving work.
The work will be conducted in phases, with the first phase beginning next week.
As a result, the well-traveled rural roadway will be closed to the general public from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. while the work commences.
Public Works Administrator and County Engineer Steve Loupe said that for safety reasons, only emergency responders, businesses, and residents of the Frazier Lake Road area will be able to drive on the roadway.
The road will reopen after 5 a.m. on Aug. 13 until the next phase, which will likely begin Aug. 21.
The BenitoLink Internship Program is a paid, skill-building program that prepares local youth for a professional career. This program is supported by Monterey Peninsula Foundation AT&T Golf Tour, United Way, Taylor Farms and the Emma Bowen Foundation.
