On a day when children of all ages will be dressing up as their favorite comic book characters, Bill's Bullpen in downtown Hollister will celebrate Halloween by holding its annual Free Comic Book Day.

The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the store at 207 Fourth St. in Hollister, will feature the chance to pick up a free comic book and take a picture with Batman, Iron Man and "a special Star Wars guest."

Bill Mifsud, who owns the store, promotes the event each year both as a way to give back to the clientele who support him and encourage new customers to check out his store, which also features collectible cards and sports memorabilia.
