"Eliminating the financial barriers of activities in our community, allows all of our youth to participate," said David Westrick, Hollister Police chief and vice president of San Benito County PAL. "Every kid should have the opportunity to do something they love. It may inspire them to choose a positive path for their lives and that will make our community a better place, one child at a time. I know for a fact that a good community recreation program is an excellent crime prevention tool."
