Gavilan College canceled classes at all its campuses Thursday, Nov. 15 and Friday, Nov. 16 due to air quality relating to wildfires across California. Closures include the Briggs Building in Hollister as well as the main campus in Gilroy.

The local community college sent out a morning notice to announce the cancellation. Updates will be posted at http://www.gavilan.edu.

The Thursday cancellation comes as major wildfires burn across the state, such as the Camp Fire near Chico and the Woolsey Fire close to Los Angeles. Air quality has suffered, even in the local region.
